This will be a once in a life time experience that will provide a chance for the veterans of a variety of service organizations who have been wounded in the line of duty to forget about the hardships they face on a daily basis as a result of protecting our freedom overseas as well as American soil.

The men and women attending will be able to enjoy the race from Pit Lane with the Primetime Race Group, one of only two American cars in the entire series. The Primetime Dodge Viper will be featuring Post 911 Foundation decals and the team will be changing their number to 9-11 to honor those who have served and are still serving our country in the Post 9/11 Era.

With gates opening at noon, the 4th of July will feature FreedomFest offerings from the 3rd, but will host local, regional and national recording acts. As a very special celebration, the Post 911 Foundation from New York City will be kicking off their “Follow the Flag Tour” at FreedomFest. The tour will continue through the United States leading up to the 10-year anniversary of the tragedy in New York City. The evening will close with a patriotic laser light show.

The Post 911 Foundation will present the flag that was raised over Ground Zero as a rallying symbol to renew the patriotism and pride that brought the country together following the events of 9/11/01. Through the renewal of this iconic symbol, the Post 911 Foundation will bring attention to issues affecting veterans and first responders from all service oriented organizations and assist with the treatment of disabilities, such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

They are led by Richard J. Miller who, as an NYPD Emergency Service Unit (ESU) Police Officer on scene conducting rescue and recovery operations at the World Trade Center that fateful morning, raised the first American flag over Ground Zero to rally the first responders and honor his fallen comrades. He hoped that some would be rescued and live to see the American flag. Unfortunately, many first responders, including 14 ESU friends, were lost that day – yet, the flag remained to honor their memory and inspire others at Ground Zero in the difficult rescue and recovery efforts. This symbol awakened a sense of national pride and unity that helped guide the country in the face of chaotic uncertainty.

To honor the Military first responders, who engaged Al Qaeda and Taliban forces in Afghanistan on horseback immediately following the terrorist attacks, and symbolically capture their achievements, the foundation will raise money to complete a bronze cast of a Special Forces Soldier on an Afghan Horse. They plan to raise sufficient funds to create three 16 ft casts: one to be placed at Ground Zero, a second to be placed at the Headquarters for Army Special Operations, and the third to be placed at the 5thSpecial Forces Group in Ft Campbell, Kentucky, the home of the men who led the fight. While focusing on their own programs, such as the grass roots PTSD support initiative, the Post 911 Foundation will also actively forge partnerships with other like minded charitable veteran, law enforcement, and first responder organizations. Activities to “follow the flag” on its historic journey back to Ground Zero will provide a vehicle to raise awareness and inspire assistance for American heroes. Through their activities, the foundation believes the nation will re-capture the spirit of national unity found in the Post 9/11 moment and come together once again to promote peace, pride, and prosperity. In doing so, the foundation hopes to assist those who have served our nation and may be in need, so they will be restored, renewed, and empowered to succeed: “Rebuilding America – One Great American at a Time”.

“I am honored to be a part of an astonishing organization and to show my support by racing to the finish line for all the Americans who continuously fight for America. As an owner of an American-based racing team, campaigning an American-made racing car in an American racing series, supporting a foundation that continuously gives back to Americans who have spent time away from their families to fight for our country, is an ideal fit” expressed Joel Feinberg, Primetime Race Group owner and driver.

“I believe Primetime Race Group represents a true American Spirit, forged from the heart of America, the steel factories in Pennsylvania, and the union workers who make the American muscle cars that come out of Detroit. I believe this racing team can once again capture our competitive spirit and sense of national pride“ comments Scott Neil, President of Post 911 Foundation & Member of the Special Operations Community

About Primetime Race Group
Primetime Race Group is a South Florida-based company with a sole motivation of dedication to its team of drivers, mechanics, and engineers, who share a common goal of excellence. The team is lead by owner/driver Joel Feinberg, whose passion for winning as a team is the foundation of his success. The team’s approach to the sport is not a common one, as a privateer team Primetime has chosen to cut its own path into the American Le Mans Series without manufacturer or factory support. The program is derived from countless man hours and sleepless nights to insure that when they hit the track there has been no stone unturned.

Primetime competes in the ALMS’s GT2 class, the most competitive in the series. With more than seven different manufacturers and a fierce group of talented drivers, winning will not always come down to how fast a car is, but also how efficient a team is. The team’s uncompromised efforts and recent success has shown that Primetime is a top contender and is here to stay. They are in the business of winning.
